PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Tyfon like others of their species is a green skinned alien with white patches of skin. They have an uncommon genetic trait which causes their hair to never stop growing (most remain just a small tuff on the top of their head). As such they allow their hair to stretch down to slightly passed their jaw line rather than keeping it short. Due to lacking frills to the right side of their face they are unable to keep the longer strands back making it appear as though their hair is asymmetrical.

On that note the right side of Tyfon's face was badly burnt and damaged in a conflict leaving it with paler green skin. This injury stretches from the top of their head to about 2/3 down their torso. As previously mentioned their frills were singed off but they also lost both their right eye and right arm in the process. While Tyfon could have chosen regular realistic prosthetic replacements (or even tried a riskier lab grown flesh and blood eye and arm replacement) they chose to use prototype models which outer casing is made of a black synthetic material.

Tyfon's outfit is a white uniform shirt with a red horizontal stripe around its collar and a similar but vertical stripe going from their armpit region down. Their pants are plain white. Tyfon appears to have elbow length black and white gloves; in reality only the left is a glove which is designed to match the appearance of their prosthetic arm. They wear white and black heeled boots with a triangle opening through each heel. As a last detail Tyfon has small red ear plugs in each ear.

BACKSTORY

Tyfon’s life has been somewhat rocky. As a child they were oddly aggressive and destructive. Many attempts were made to correct their behaviour but none really stuck, their caretakers unfortunately never had time to make a proper "action plan" for them. Tyfon's parent had chosen to be absent from their life and even then that individual wasn't trained to handled a child with these issues. As the caretakers had to care for so many children and Tyfon was not considered a special needs child they unfortunately fell through the cracks.

Once they became an adult their childhood misbehaviour was finally addressed as it was regarded now as a full on threat. As such they were placed in psychiatric care where they met a doctor known as Elgarr. At first Tyfon was just as unpleasant with them but Elgarr was far more relaxed and more focused on making Tyfon happy with themselves. Falling into line for the sake of others was considered a secondary goal at best. Eventually Elgarr concluded their recovery could only be met if they lived in the community. At that point they allowed Tyfon to live with them.

Within a few years Tyfon’s aggression and anxiety was far more controlled and as such they wanted to look into an actual career. What stuck out to them was working as an officer. At first there was some… doubts about their abilities due to being a particularly petit individual but they more than proved themselves. In the end Tyfon actually attained a goal beyond their initial one: becoming a high officer which allowed them to deal both with local AND foreign threats.

During this time their relationship with Elgarr became… less professional at least on their part. Tyfon didn’t make it known they had fallen in love largely due to a life of emotional rejection leaving them feeling completely unlikable. Pretty sad stuff honestly.

Life went on like this for decades until roughly 16 years ago. During a large scale terrorist attack a Ferron extremist fired their rocket launcher toward Tyfon's general vicinity. While they survived the heat and shrapnel caused extensive damage to the right side of their body. During their recovery Tyfon realized just how close they came to death as well as how Elgarr wasn’t getting any younger. This was the push Tyfon needed to become honest about their romantic feelings with Elgarr. From that point on they officially became a couple. With a new eye and new arm Tyfon was able to return to duty, it would take more than that to make them retire from service!

As of the beginning of the story its business as usual. They are currently unaware of Darwin & co.

PERSONALITY

Tyfon is a very particular individual. On one hand they tend to be not nearly as serious as one would think; often crafting jokes and making observational humour based on the situation. On the other hand they are very rude and their language could be best described as “politically incorrect”. While they’re never cruel about certain topics like health, gender and sexuality they will make generalizations about species and often insult people on that basis (ex: calling wayok “mute fatasses” and mocking their lack of ability to move on land).

This unpleasant behaviour has a tendency of leading them into conflicts especially with more prideful individuals. Even though Tyfon has only been to the UICA headquarters a few times ever they have already gained notoriety for getting into trouble.

While they may seem like a tough guy on the inside they are actually a mess of self-doubt and anxiety. A lot of their behaviour is impulsive and as such Tyfon often feels a great deal of remorse for their actions. Unfortunately they rarely apologize due to this fear of seeming weak and flawed. As you'd expect this ends up not helping them in the long run.

For positive traits Tyfon is indeed very willing to put themself in peril for the sake of others. They may insult you but they’re the first to run into a situation of danger to save your life if that makes any sense. Furthermore, Tyfon is in fact capable of being kind and gentle… to a very small niche of people at least. This kindness is mostly reserved for Elgarr and Elgarr's youngest child (Aixon was just a hatchling when Tyfon came to live with their family. As expected they've grown close).

Overall they’re kinda a shitty person but they can be trusted to be there when the time comes.
