She often introduces herself as "May, short for Mayhem", so her real name is a mystery to most. She doesn't like to talk about her past, but she was originally from Ishgard, where she attended the Saint Endalim's Scholasticate. She grew up in the Brume and was close friends with Hilda, but one day vanished without a word, fleeing to Eorzea.
She travelled to Limsa Lominsa and eventually taken in by the Rogues Guild. Later she was recruited by the Crystal Braves, where she met Riol, who she idolized and followed around. Eventually, she became a Scion.
