Don't let her regal looks fool you, this ant queen is very down to earth. While ants in the Shadow of Doubt are not proper ants, but rather aliens that sorta resemble ants, they do have a somewhat hivelike structure with the queen producing all the young. Unlike Earth ants, however, both males and females are produced, and both work equally in the nest and they all have their own minds.
