Personality

As the self-proclaimed Cupid, many would think Comet would be chipper, kind, and even bubbly, however in reality he's quite snappy, nosy, and sensitive despite being the archangel of love. Comet is the kind of guy you can go to for all kinds of advice, and he'll successfully guide you on how to work things out. He's become quiet observant and, with the help of his luck and experience, can tell who'd go well together with who. While he may be able to see it when other people would make a great couple, he's oblivious to his own romantic feelings for someone until it becomes plain to see.

He has a habit of hiding his feelings away, and doesn't normally trust others, and because of this he's the kind of person who trusts what he can see. Comet's stubborn, and it can take a lot to change his mindset about something, though it's not impossible.

He absolutely loves his job as a match-maker, and use to only pair up anyone who wasn't descended. Thankfully, with the help of Beli and his friends, Comet's gotten past his fear of those who descended. He's known to pair up friends, lovers, and business partners. Even though Comet loves match-making, his first and biggest love is the stars he mapped in the sky, as he was originally the star mapper after all. He's a follower of the latest trends and many social medias.

Appearance

Comet is a short, thin arch at only 5'1ft tall. He'll often follow the latest fashion trends for the fun trying something new out. He loves wearing shades of pinks, reds, blues, and browns. While he doesn't need glasses, he likes to wear a pair of red ones. He often carries a satchel around. His wings are a light blue with pink speckles.

Backstory

Long ago, Comet was created to map out where the stars were going to be placed in the sky. He took this job seriously, putting thought into each placement. Once they were mapped out, he gathered the other archangels and showed them the plan. Comet made the dove, Columba, and the north star. Once he was done, he'd go around helping the other arches with their stars. Once all the stars were in the sky, Comet felt like he didn't have a job anymore since all he could do was watch over his work.

While he didn't interact much with the other arches, preferring to be alone with the stars, Comet did make a few close friends. When he wasn't stargazing, Comet could be found with Raz, Uriel, Izari, or Rehema. If he couldn't be found with friends or looking up at the sky, he could be found people watching in large, crowded areas. It didn't take long for Comet to find out he loved seeing happy friends, couples, and even healthy rivalries. He quickly decided he wanted to help people find their true love. When talking to Uriel about it, he told Comet to talk to Grace. Comet wasn't sure if he could have another domain, so he kept Uriel's advice in mind.

Sometime after the talk with Uriel, Comet started spending even more with with Izari, and ended up falling wings over heels in love with her! He gathered the courage to ask her out on a date, and it was a short few months after that when they started dating. Comet would spend all his time with her, and would often help Izari with her work whenever he could.

Comet's happy little world shattered when the Divine Divorce happened. Grace felt that humans should only have one magical ability, while Lucifer thought they should be able to have all of it. Comet was torn between the two due to being able to see both sides. Seeing Izari's reasoning for choosing Lucifer's side made him think on it, but eventually he felt it may be better for humans to only have one magical ability. Tensions grew between both sides, and Comet saw how everything was effecting Izari mentally. He delayed choosing a side to help her through the rough times.

Once the climax of the Divine Divorce hit, most arches had chosen a side. Comet's heart broke as he watched Izari change due to hanging around a bad crowd, but he couldn't leave her. Not now! Throughout the whole thing, Comet stayed neutral, and stuck with Izari more than anyone else. He'd continue going on dates, and showering her with thoughtful gifts. Looking back now, Comet realized that was the worst thing he could have done. All it did was fuel her greed as he ignored all the red signs that obviously showed that Izari had changed for the worst.She was no longer the arch he fell in love with, and it took years for Comet to finally break the relationship off, but the damage had already been done.

After the breakup, Comet became even more sheltered from the others. The only two he'd go to were Raz and Rehema. It didn't help that Uriel suddenly disappeared either, leaving them all missing the beloved archangel. It took years after the disappearance for Comet to finally talk to Grace. Though it was less like a talk. Instead, Comet stated that he wanted to have the domain over relationships as well. Grace agreed, and Comet soon began pairing angels, demons, and humans, but never descended arches. He was terrified to get close to anyone who had sided with Lucifer that day in fear of getting hurt like that again. Even if he longed for the days Izari was her old, generous self.

It took a few centuries for Comet to start opening up again. He'd often be seen alone, pairing up couples wherever he could, or hanging out with Raz. The archangel of secrets was his closest friend for who knows how long, and they even dated for a short time before agreeing that they were better off as friends. Their relationship helped him talk to others more, guiding and giving advice to other people about their relationships. After some time, Comet started helping Raz find love by using his luck when he saw a good match.

In the 1800s, Comet happened to see Raz and a demon in Henzil. His luck told him that they'd be an amazing pair, and he once again tried his luck. It wasn't until the 1830s when he saw that demon again, though he'd completely forgotten about pairing Oku up with Raz until he sensed his luck on the demon. He quietly watched the two become closer, until eventually his patience was rewarded, and Raz and Oku got together! Comet even found love for himself eventually. He learned to open up to descended archangels, and started dating Beli.

Comet is happily living in Thistleton with Beli and his friends
