About

A quite nervous and detached man. He shies away from social interaction, and has a very difficult time making decisions without the help of :̶̝̠{̶̼̜E̴͉̰Ṙ̵̞̹Ṙ̴͇͉Ö̶̠́R̸̙̼ ̴̳̹:̷̘͂ ̴̼͗0̷̩̻1̵̛̼4̷̦̱}̴͎͕:̶̡͇ . Locke, Estrings, and the leaders are really the only people who he isn't terrified of.

Backstory

He was created as a part of :{PROJECT_ILLISION.EXE}: by Ilex as an attempt to save all of the Corrupted characters that had accumulated in Universe Null over the years. However, after fourteen attempts to create the perfect system, Ilex grew tired of Caustic's constant attempts to rebel. In turn, he decided to scrap his failed creation, and mortally wounded Caustic and left him to die. Caustic, in a desperate attempt to save his life, attempted to reprogram the right side of him that had been wounded. Instead of regenerating his missing half however, he accidentally created a virus called :̶̝̠{̶̼̜E̴͉̰Ṙ̵̞̹Ṙ̴͇͉Ö̶̠́R̸̙̼ ̴̳̹:̷̘͂ ̴̼͗0̷̩̻1̵̛̼4̷̦̱}̴͎͕:̶̡͇ that turned Caustic's mission of saving characters all across the multiverse, into one that did the same thing at the expense of others. The virus controlled him for practically his entire life, forcing his hand to corrupt the Caravan, until he was saved by Locke transferring the virus onto himself, and then later Sonder. After a reset of the stronghold, Caustic managed to convert the Caravan into a force for good, and to this day fights for the safety of those living in the multiverse.

Without :̶̝̠{̶̼̜E̴͉̰Ṙ̵̞̹Ṙ̴͇͉Ö̶̠́R̸̙̼ ̴̳̹:̷̘͂ ̴̼͗0̷̩̻1̵̛̼4̷̦̱}̴͎͕:̶̡͇ on his side, he becomes much weaker than he used to be while he was the Caravan leader. He has the ability to clip/teleport, but he can't control it very well for the most part. It seems to happen while he is idle, or when he is in danger. If he touches someone's right side, he can still steal their power, but it requires a tremendous amount of effort, and will likely render him unconscious for a few hours if he does so. At his prime, he could steal the power of others with nearly no consequences, and was rival to none.

Items

Caustic owns a three pronged trident laced with corrosive acid. He rarely uses it, but he can summon it to his side at any time.

Universes

Caustic was created in the labs below Universe Null, and locked there for many years. Now he lives with Locke in the Stronghold, doing his best to stay away from plot, and keeping Locke safe.

Trivia & Notes

• Caustic never throws his trident since having one eye gives him horrible depth perception.
• Caustic is extremely light. It almost feels like you're holding nothing at all if you pick him up.
• Any noise Caustic makes that's not directly speaking is mimicked from another source. This especially includes cries of pain, which sound oddly similar to Ilex's voice.
• Caustic's blood glows, making him glow slightly in the dark.
