Mara

Mara was drafted as a soldier under Austria-Hungary in WWI. At the time, he was engaged to a young woman named Isabelle, and was determined to make it through the war back to her. Unfortunately, while he was in the trenches, he died and was never able to see his lover again. Upon his death, he woke in Hell, and was immediately grabbed by a demon named Cathers in order to become an assassin for Satan and himself, because of Mara's expertise in warfare. Mara started to rack up a death toll in the thousands, and was known as the alias "Black Sheep". It was during this that he met another lover, Luka, who was a lowly soul being tortured by other demons. When Cathers found out about Mara's romance, Mara attempted to flee with Luka, but this plan went south. Mara escaped alone and joined the rebel group headed by Winona.

Mara entered the human world, only to be captured by the Demion family of demon hunters. There he met the young Klaus Demion, who fell in love with him and set him free in exchange for Mara to make a deal with him, therefore being sure to enter Hell. They agreed, and once Klaus entered Hell he joined Winona's rebellion as well. They are dating and in love. Very well so.
