For the most part, Kala lives a normal life. She goes to college, has a part time job, and parties with her friends on the weekend. The only real differentiation from the norm is that every morning, Kala goes running through the woods almost completely stripped down, and once a month she goes running in the woods at night with her family, while also transformed into a wolf.
Her pack sees being werewolves as something that should add to your humanity, rather than take away from it. This is why they tend to still live in human communities and interact with humans as if nothing about them is different. They do their best to help out the humans around them, without taking advantage of their abilities as a werewolf. It can sometimes be difficult not to let those abilities play a part, but it keeps everyone safer and Kala understands that.
