“Lei Jiang” is a spirit dragon that was born out of unknown circumstances. He understands that it was along the basis of a wish which summoned his soul into his spirited form. He has no known family and has roamed this earth for around 80 years up until the humans began to be influential again. As humans grew upon the earth he walked, the amount of his own spiritual energy influence diminished as they overtook the land he owned… Although half the size he originally was when born, at around 40 years of age, Jiang was around 20 meters long, 10 meters tall. The dragon rested silently without trouble for years, sometimes even visited by the village’s people if they dared venture his forests. Reminder: the village did *not* praise him as some kind of deity or ANY of the sort. There have been a few dragons left here and there from times past, but they were not viewed as anything more. The village sees Jiang as a sort of ‘guardian’ of their village, although he didn’t get outside much ’til his sleep was disturbed. Thugs who have tired to burn down his village in the past as well as troublesome politicians trying to breakdown their peoples did not return. When the soul of the village is attacked in any manner, the dragon immediately stomped out his cage in a blind rage of blue fire, destroying the targets as well as anything in sight. The only person that could calm him down was one certain spirit that reminded him of his place… His soft personality and strong will calmed Jiang down into another slumber, only for Jiang to awaken with the sweet, yet troubled ghost right beside him.. - Praised as the heroes of their village, even though the dragon shooed them away, the people still respected them by keeping legends of them tied to generations and generations past until their influence was eventually diminished down to a few people. — Present: Now that they are almost now forgotten, the dragon and the spirit have only been able to maintain their forms by the original spiritual energy that comes with the stories that are written in the paper books and little whispers of the towns people. All the villagers they once knew have passed away, and only a few adults left from when their own parents told them even know their names. With the human’s influence on him and the inspirational good will of the people he’s come in contact with, (basically his family as well as Kiyoshi), Jiang has taken on a human form to match his surroundings. His small dragon form is the one he is mostly found in when he’s resting, wanting to hide away for a while, or in a slight rage. Although not much, if given enough power (via more humans believing in him with enough of their will) or in enough feeling to go past his blank demeanor, he’ll go back to around 1/8th—1/4th of his original size when he was born (if he needs to protect someone.)
