About
Ragnar is my first Twili OC. Attempts to create him were as early as november/december 2019, but I hit a dead end when it came to building him and only had his base design in my mind. When the idea of a circus dawned upon me, I finally had purpose for this pretty boy.
Ragnar was born as one of the many circus children. His parents were the aerial acrobats Gudrun and Reiga, both famous, especially Reiga. One might wonder if Ragnar lived in Reiga's shadow and had a lot to live up to.
Fortunately, both parents tried their hardest to raise Ragnar with as much freedom as possible, if he desired to be an acrobat, they'd train him themselves, if he desired to be anything else, they'd support him all the same.
He had a happy childhood at the circus, aspiring to be an aeralist like his parents, his father in particular. That dream unfortunately shattered when his father died in an accident. The same accident left his mother crippled and a changed woman. The worst of all is that he witnessed the accident to happen, which caused a massive fear of heights to develop.
He didn't discover the fear until he tried to pick up training not long after the accident. He found he was unable to get himself to climb up to the elevated platforms, and stuck with the lower placed tools and instruments instead. Training also fell behind because Gudrun was too out of it to help him out. Ragnar tried to seek advice with the other acrobats, but most tried to mold him into another Reiga to fill up the void, which involved heights. He decided he couldn't deal with it and quit.
After quitting acrobatics, he wanted to find an another way to make himself useful at the circus, as he would never be able to leave the troupe altogether. He is reminded of his childhood memories with the animals and decides to become a caretaker. He also teaches the animals some of the easier tricks.

Father
Ragnar was truly a daddy's boy. They were very close up till the day Reiga passed. Reiga would do all sorts of things to entertain Ragnar, not to mention spoil him rotten. He wasn't always the best example, but there was a lot of love involved.
Mother
Gudrun has always been the more strict parent, but Ragnar cherishes his mother a lot too. She was always ready to give advice, and tutored him in so many ways Reiga couldn't. There were many a night spent cuddled up to her, listening to all sorts of stories about the troupe and the world beyond. Gudrun hasn't been herself since Reiga's death, but she is still very beloved.
Grandfather
Ragnar is close to his grandfather. To him, he was always the wise man who always knew what to do, no matter the situation. Many a childhood day is spent sitting in his office, listening to him making plans and scheduling things. Not to mention he's a treasure trove of stories.
