About

I Think • I Will • Cause Problems • On Purpose! ♡

A monstrous feline born from cautionary tales and superstition. Enormous yet elusive, Anyah amused themself by ‘playing along’ with local legends. They would travel from village to village and mimic the behaviours of the fictional beasts from the locals’ stories.

Eventually, role-playing and human-devouring became tedious. They retreated to a house-hopping life in the form of a domestic cat, stealing material objects and inhaling worldly knowledge along the way.

Currently prefers to use their humanoid form, but will shift when necessary.

Dislikes

  • Strong smells

  • Being the centre of attention
"Do you know how sometimes a cat will continue to bat around prey even after it’s long dead? I can’t say I relate to them--what fun are the reactions of a corpse?"

Summary

Perceptive, highly knowledgeable and always down to have some fun--usually at others’ expense. A connoisseur of gossip, overblown news, superstitions, and petty drama (they think it’s all Very Funny).

Anyah is constantly one step ahead. They’ll only share their observations if directly queried, however, and they dislike being in the spotlight. Predisposed to ‘pack up and move on’ if they feel like they’re getting too involved.

Overconfidence and vanity are like candy to them. They love collecting information about others and then weaponising it to make an absolute mess of them. Will never tear someone apart publicly, however--they prefer to toy with prey privately.

Perhaps unexpectedly, Anyah’s emotional intelligence is quite refined. If they stopped playing around and focused on building proper relationships, they’d be a pleasant companion. They will not torment well-meaning dummies or the very young (who are much better as playmates than as toys). Prefers to 'punch up'.

Good at swaying a crowd. It’s easy to get caught up in the atmosphere that they weave.

Design

• 178cm tall (humanoid). Beast form varies, but is usually ~6 metres tall.

• Nimble and quite fit. Lots of lean, toned muscle.

• There’s a very thin layer of fur on certain parts of their body. It’s suede-like; velvety to the touch. Most of the dark colour is actually a result of a shift in skin colouration. Present on the hands (about ⅓ of the way up from the metacarpals), the feet (stopping a little above the ankle), and the sternum (a very small amount).

• Canines and claws are sharp and not fun to come into contact with. They have no qualms about biting/scratching others regardless of the situation.

• Very sensitive to sound and scent. This is both an advantage and a nuisance.

• Diet is free of constraints, but they prefer to eat meat.

Trivia

• The ribbon on their neck is akin to a magical seal. If they wish to change forms, they must first untie the ribbon. It is essentially a part of them, so it cannot be destroyed or misplaced.

• Their fur, hair, and ears are luxuriously soft and silky. They’re picky regarding who they allow to touch them, though.

• Maintains a tidy, well-groomed appearance. Finds comfort in taking baths and brushing their hair.

• Does not react to stimuli that would otherwise interest cats (e.g. catnip, specific foods, birds, lasers…)

• Has a husky yet clear voice. Given the opportunity, they’d probably be good at singing death metal…

• None of their clothes are their own. Neither are the books, lipsticks, nail polish, wallets...

• Despite their nature, they still consider most people as equals. They’re an engaging conversation partner and more than willing to play along with very stupid or pointless activities.

• All in all, a little lonely.
