An outgoing and laid-back girl, Aika's disposition and attitude labels her as a "big sister" archetype. She is very friendly, positive, and approachable at school despite her height, though she isn't the brightest student in the shed (much to her dismay) and her energy can be overwhelming at times. Aika is also known to be very boyish, as shown by her tough nature and often seen with her male friends. She is arguably one of the most carefree and flippant members of the Volleyball Club, frequently making jokes and sarcastic comments even in the heat of a match. However she is shown to be quite reckless, often getting into situations due to not thinking first and preferring to act quickly.

Yet Aika has a very short-temper and is easily set off when people trigger her. Her anger is even terrifying to the point where she angrily spikes balls that can damage the volleyball court, hence why no one (especially Hinata, Tanaka, Nishinoya and Yachi) dares to provoke her.

Despite her short-tempered and flippant tendencies, Aika is relatively mature and nurturing towards others. She greatly looks after them like a big sister and would always jump in accepting whatever help they ask of her.
