The fifth and final avatar created by Lord Ao. One of the first elves ever to walk on the planet of Exhal. Niomi isn't a real god by any means but she was once a very powerful druid. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
Niomi didn't make much of an effort to become friends with her fellow avatars, though she did try to be good acquaintances with most of them. She was much more interested on wandering Exhal by herself, studying everything that nature had to offer. She wasn't very good at conversing so she preferred the company of animals over anything else.
For whatever reason, Niomi didn't feel emotions like the rest of the avatars. While she was capable of feeling, it was much more dull and mute in comparison. She knew that the way she acted was not considered the norm, and tried to make an effort to change by observing the others closely whenever she got the chance. It was fascinating. She wondered why they acted the way they did, wanting to know what exactly made them tick.
Niomi did have some friends though. She was mainly close with the nature-related gods of Exhal, having so many shared interests. Maintaining relationships was quite tiresome for the woman though, and so she never made any close friends who left an impact on her. Such is life.
Her peaceful way of life was interrupted one day when one of the avatars, Saamsum, angered Lord Ao, resulting in the god abandoning Exhal. Saamsum wished to rid the world of all godly creations and with another avatar on his side, declared war against the other two. Initially, Niomi was not interested in fighting whatsoever. All she wanted to do was sit in peace and play with her animal friends. Saamsum was making that wish of hers very hard to fulfill though.
Eventually, she joined the fight against Saamsum when asked by Qusk for two reasons: she wanted this pointless fight to end, and she wanted to observe how these people acted and felt when pit against each other like this. The fight lasted for centuries with Niomi getting increasingly bored and frustrated. She really hadn't expected it to last this long.
But to her surprise then, Niomi was defeated and cast into the Void by Saamsum, her entire world going black.
Initially, Niomi felt panic. She wasn't sure what this place even was. It was dark and filled with monsters, nothing like the forests she'd come to love. But her panic eventually subsided, the numb emptiness that she'd grown accustomed to returning. Well, this sucks. For a while, she tried to look for a way out but seeing no escape, the woman eventually gave up.
Perhaps she was doomed to live out the last of her days here, the Void sucking more and more of her power away from her with each passing day. As she aimlessly wandered the void with no clear destination in mind, Niomi could only think of one thing: she really missed her animals.
It's been over a thousand years now, though Niomi remains unaware of just how much time as passed. Was it finally time for change?
