Profile

Kairo Taberu is a creature composed out of corporeal data as the result of a mad scientist experimenting with the creation of life from code using a teleporter. Kairo's creator attempted to dispatch and dispose of Kairo as they weren't a flesh and blood creation as they aimed for and their work would be threatened if Kairo's existence continued. Despite the attempt on his life, Kairo has no harsh feelings towards him. As a matter of fact, it seems that Kairo seems incapable of holding or understanding feelings of contempt or revenge, resulting in a care-free character.

As a creature composed out of data, Kairo can shift the state and form of his body at will and phase through matter, only material conversion engines and EM-wave-blocking or EM-wave-infused materials have an effect on him regardless of the form he takes.

Classified as an EM-lifeform, he has also learned the ability to "jack-in" to devices via touch, interfacing with them directly through hardware, allowing him to upload and download data.

Another learned ability is material conversion, where he can transform materials, objects, and beings into data and back. trying to convert raw data that isn't in the proper sequence into material form can result in the ejection of corporeal data, but it's an evaporative ooze that dissipates in even a sealed container. It is determined that Kairo's insides are made of the same substance, which can result in him moving more cartoonishly.

When Kairo takes on any form of data, converted, downloaded, or formed, it adds to his mass. it's approximated that 1ZB of data makes up 10L of data on Kairo, weighing about 1kg per L. Kairo has no known limit to storing data other than how much of his own mobility he's willing to forfeit. Bloatware can have a profound impact on his waistline.

Kairo can emulate roughly 2ZB of data in a virtualized space within him. As a human-level brain can hold about 0.3 ZB, he can maintain the consciousnesses of 5 people if they're stored in him, though they lose most sensitivity in their senses. A TTRPG-style simulation the size of 1 acre can be run with some imitations in this virtual space, and going above their limit can cause them to go into a panic state, corrupting data.
