The goddess Persephone if she was like:
A young Persephone, tired of her mother's seclusion, finds little ways to act out and claim her own autonomy. Unfortunately for her, she happens to start making these statements right around the time King Beast and Queen Belle are deciding how to deal with the villain epidemic in Auradon. One thing leads to another and pretty soon Demeter's shipping her off to the Isle of the Lost with the rest of the insurgent scum! (To her credit (I guess), Demeter didn't really grasp the permanence of the Isle situation when she made this decision. She shipped Persephone off with the cadence of a parent sending their rowdy child to boarding school for a summer or two. Who'd'a thunk she'd never see her daughter again?)
Years down the line, Persephone's thriving on the Isle. Sure, she misses some of the material comforts of life with her mother, but never before has she felt so free. There's something so liberating about being expected to speak up for yourself! There is also the fact that you will quite literally get stabbed or worse if you are incapable of doing so on an island of convicted felons. Plus, well............ a certain convicted felon has caught her eye.
Persephone wants more than anything else to be noticed by Hades! She's drawn to the sway he has over the other islanders, the terror he inflicts wherever he goes. She's not sure he even knows who she is, but as things with his wife seem to start going south she gets the feeling that soon she'll have her chance!!!!!! >:)
Also, she goes by "Percy" for short! She thinks it gives her street cred (it does not).
