"Okay, I'm done being polite to you. So let me put this simply - if you move that knife even an inch closer to him, I will tear you limb from limb."

Personality

Ever-silent, Ibel remains by the King's side at all times, as a member of his Private Guard. She is loyal both to her King, and to her family and friends back home, always making sure she does anything she can to help either of them.

Despite her muscular frame, Ibel is quick and nimble, remaining unheard when sneaking up on foes, and staying in the background at all times, unnoticed by her enemies. When attacking, she is swift, striking enemies down before they have a chance to react.

Ibel is always pleasant to anyone who speaks to her, but is a woman of very few words herself. She has the respect of anyone who has worked alongside her, and is known throughout Jidahara as one of the strongest warriors in their history.

Backstory

Strong-willed and fiercely loyal, Ibel made Jidaharan history by becoming the first ever female member of the King's Private Guard.

She was born in one of the lower class districts, where poverty was ripe, and every family (hers included) struggled to make ends meet. Naturally strong, even as a teenager she would frequently go to the deserts, hunting for wild animals to bring back to feed her family and neighbours. Her parents would often worry about her safety, but no matter how they tried to stop her from going, she would find a way around it, and always return with plenty of food.

This continued into her adult life, where she also trained other strong individuals from her district, and lead groups into the desert in order to feed the whole district. During one of these outings, she came across a carriage that was being attacked by a group of chimera. Without a second thought, Ibel rushed in to save its occupants, fighting and scaring off the entire chimera group. As she turned to leave, the King, who was in the carriage and saw her battle, shouted after her, insisting on paying her for her services. Ibel said that money had no value to her, and took only a few loaves of bread, so feed some members of her district who had never had bread in their lives and considered it a luxury.

This left a lasting impression on the King and his son (who had also been in the carriage at the time), who a few months later sent a number of soldiers out to find the man (he did not, at the time, believe a woman could be so strong) who had saved him, intending to make Ibel an offer of employment, to become part of his Private Guard. When they returned with Ibel and he found out she was a woman, he sent her away, with the belief that a man should never be guarded by a woman.

Ibel returned to her district, offended, and continued life as normal until two years later, when the Prince personally came to her district, asking her to become one of his Guardsmen. He explained that his father had been killed on the road, and he was the new King, and that he knew he'd always be in safe hands if she was there to save him. He knew she was offended about his father rejecting her, but said they'd argued about it after, and hoped she would not judge him by his father's idiocy. She took a few days to think about it, before agreeing that she would become a guard on the condition that her wages be returned to her district as food, so they would no longer need to hunt in dangerous circumstances.

The new king agreed to her request, and she was made a member of the Private Guard. From that day, she has stayed by the King's side, protecting him from any harm which comes his way. She trains daily to keep herself in top physical condition, in order to prove to the King that he made the right decision.
