Aidur

A spirit of the forest and it's strange mechanisms, Aidur is as old as the forest itself but still manages to be a pissy asshole about almost everything. They are beholden only to the forest, and won't take instructions or shit from anybody. It is unclear what their purpose or goal is at any given moment, and they usually won't share information even with their allies.

They are a shapeshifter, and can take the shapes of living things, with the exception that they can never fully replicate any one being. Because of that, most of the forms that they take look like slightly Wrong interpretations of animals, usually with some parts missing.

Relationships:

Benyarin: Aidur acts as Benyarin's mentor, often guiding him into doing what they want him to do in order to further their own goals. They are easily frustrated by his lack of knowledge and desire to ask questions, but care about him nonetheless, and go out of their way to protect him from other less friendly forces at work in the forest.

Vinwey: Vinwey is Aidur's deity counterpart. They have a complicated relationship, and are often at odds as they have different opinions on their role in the forest and Vinwey rarely holds their toungue around them. Aidur also harbors some jealousy about the fact that Vinwey has one static form while they are relegated to constantly switching between different manifestations. Despite all this, however, they have a deep bond and could not exist without each other.
