Baron tends to come off as mysterious, aloof, and rather quite. Before he was cursed, Baron was a very laid-back and easygoing fella, preferring to stay out of fights and actually quite lazy. Now he finds it very difficult to enjoy the things he once did and cannot seem to let things rest even for a moment. He is constantly wandering, always feeling like a passive observer. His ability to shapeshift has made it easier for him to blend into his environment, and he chooses watching interactions among strangers rather than going and talking to them himself. The confusion that his transformations sometimes garner is his only entertainment, and though he won't say it, deep down Baron is ashamed of how his body looks now. He will almost never let anyone see his true form, and he has done everything in his power to try to reverse it - even going so far as to dabble in voodoo magic himself - all to no avail. 

History

Once the promising heir to his pride, Baron was unfortunately caught off guard in his youth by a rival male who desired his older brother's position as pride leader. Baron's failed attempt to stop the intruder resulted in his scar and thus any chance of being able to take the pride back. Desperate, he traveled a long distance to meet with a voodoo "healer" who had been rumored to have magic that could heal him. Instead of healing him, however, the witch cursed him to live forever as a mixture of beasts - a chimera. Baron, in his attempts to reverse the effects, eventually found himself dabbling in voodoo magic himself, and though he has not found any way to rid himself of the curse he has learned how to shapeshift in order to mask his true form. The snake now attached to his body has become his only companion as he isolated himself from the world. When Baron shapeshifts into another creature, the snake appears to have the ability to freely move apart from his body but can not leave his side, as it would still be very much attached should he return to his true form.
