Description:
A second generation Hoenn immigrant. Was often teased for her heritage growing up and became attached to Kabu who was considered something of a hero to Hoenn immigrants.

She had the nickname "Dai (大) Konatsu" or "Daikon" because she was a big baby when she was born and was quite chubby. She eventually thinned out but didn't grow much and is very petite now (she is under 5ft/150cm tall). Her family still calls her Daikon sometimes.

She is a grass type trainer.

Story:
One of Kabu's sponsors, Huo Guo Hot Pot, was hosting a promotional stamp rally lottery. Each time you eat, you can fill up a stamp card and redeem it for a spin on the lottery wheel for a chance to win Kabu merch. The grand prize was a training day with Kabu himself. 

Konatsu was determined to win some Kabu things, so she would go to the restaurant for multiple meals to rack up some stamps. Since she's so small and petite, it was very difficult for her to eat so much and she didn't like wasting food. After about a week, she finally had enough stamps to cash in. Holding her breath as she spun the little lottery wheel, a little red ball popped out. A third tier prize! A life-sized 10ft long doll of Centiskorch. She had one already.

Disappointed but not deterred (she brought it home anyway) she decided she'd try ONE MORE TIME at the lottery. She wanted at least the second tier prize which was an autographed shikishi board of Kabu. Huo Guo had a promotion that the super spicy volcanic hot pot would be 2x points. Konatsu trying to fill it up as fast as she can, went full volcano hot pot and filled it up quickly but not without cost (the gastrointestinal discomfort was intense to say the least). Spinning the wheel again, a gold ball popped out. The grand prize! Konatsu's first reaction was "oh I didn't win his autograph :(" followed by "WAIT I GET TO MEET HIM??"

Finally on the training day (after signing a ton of liability waivers of course) she got to meet her idol. Honestly she could've fainted at any moment meeting him, but she managed to keep it together. Kabu was kind and gentle, which was very drastically different from his battle demeanor which could only be described as intense. He smiled at her and shook her hand. 

"You're one of the youngest trainers I've ever had the pleasure of training with for these promotions."

Konatsu didn't think much of that statement. After all, many of Kabu's fans are on the older side.

"Did you get your parents to sign the waivers?"

It finally hit Konatsu what that meant. "Kabu, sir... I'm 27."

It only took a moment before Kabu was on the ground kneeling in a dogenza and apologizing for his mistake for assuming she was a child. It took a lot to try to assure him no it's ok it's normal that people tend to assume she's 12 or something and that he shouldn't feel bad. The training day went rather awkwardly after, as Kabu was apologetic all the while. Konatsu went home that day feeling happy but screaming internally. 

The next morning she woke up with him on her doorstep with some flowers and apologizing again.

"Mister Kabu, how did you find my apartment?"

"I got your address from the waivers you signed"

"Weird but okay."

It took a few beats before Kabu realized what she meant and knew he had gotten himself into a worse mistake than what he wanted to originally wanted to apologize for.

"I am so sorry."

"Don't be. It's ok."

"How can I make it up to you?"

"There was this cafe I wanted to go to. Bring me there and I'll call it done."

After making the plans for the cafe at a later time, it finally occurred to her that it was going to be a "cafe date" with the gym leader of Motostoke, Kabu. Thus starts her strange relationship with him.
