In a small town that was in the middle of nowhere, children were miserable since they didn't get much coming from other cities that had loads of things such as video games, snacks and candy of every kind. Their parents have grown up being blank faced and said to their children, 'its the way of life, its never fair.' and one by one, each child started to lose hope. 

That is until one day a group of children were playing a dull game of kick the ball and it rolled into one of the bushes to find a brightly colored leech, nothing like the mount leeches that worked in the fields and the guard pet leeches protecting some properties.

The kids were amazed with the brightly colored leech and even more amazed when she pulled out small gummy candy out of her little purse. For the first time, they tasted color and sweetness and everything happy. The children knew their parents would disapprove of the candy leech and decided to keep her as a secret.

Every day the kids would act dull as usual but when they got the chance, they would go to their secret hide out and they would be full of color and smile as they played with their new friend and dubbed her Paddle Pop when she procured ice creams for everyone.

Alas, this secret wouldn't last long when one of the older kids who was a bully, stole her bag when they found out where the secret hideout was. The bag was special to Paddle Pop due to the fact you could pull out any type of candy, baked good or drink out of it. It even had cute charms she had collected while on her travel to bring a smile.

The kids banded together to get the bag back and they succeeded but the bully had one last trick up their sleeve and told the parents when they stole the bag back. Sure, the parents were mad their children were gorging on candy from a leech of unknown origin but Padde Pop managed to get their bag back by a child who snuck behind the grown ups and tossed it to her and pulled out the candy that was nostalgic to the parents.

Soon enough the parents understood what the leech was aiming for. To bring color to the town with smiles and happiness. Soon enough the town opened up their traders and got things shipped to them that would make them and their children happy. When everyone was truly happy it was time to say goodbye to Paddle-Pop. Sure it was tearful but they knew Paddle-Pop had other smiles to bring.

Rumour has it, she belongs to a Witch who thought that maybe it was a good idea to share the candy that came out of her bag and let her travel by jumping through holes that would teleport her to places in need of cheering up.
