Childhood

• Lucien was born into an estranged family, his mother- Leonne, was severely weakened after his birth and was in and out of the hospital for his entire life knowing her. She had always been sickly, and having a second child seemed to take her health in a turn for the worst.
• Barret was cold, cruel and intimidating- not hesitating to voice his disdain for his second son- favoring his first born (though not by much...). He would often state that Lucien was a weak child, small and revolting- and that it was his unfortunate birth that was killing Leonne. Luce fought back twice as hard, refusing to believe such bullshit, though he couldn't fully shake the notion that his father was partially right.
• It was around his 7th birthday that Leonne was permanently confined to the hospital due to her rapidly declining health. The boys visited her as often as their father would allow, with Luce doing most of the talking as Lucas sat uncomfortably across the room. Leonne knew she would be gone soon, and every visit would tell her boys a new story- and at the end of every visit would gush over them and how much she adored them.
• Leonne passed not long after Luce's 8th birthday, and Barret subsequently put both boys in the orphanage- claiming they weren't worth his time or money. Luce remained at the orphanage for his entire rest of his childhood, being seen as too rowdy for most couples looking for the perfect baby to bring home.

Adolescence

• Luce was around age 15 when the fall occurred, and while it was...terrifying, he and a group of orphans banded together and created a safe space for themselves. (led by a spunky kid Luce had become well acquainted with by the name of Lars). Though Lars was a great deal younger, Luce followed him without hesitation.
• It was here that Lucien earned his colorful array of nicknames, including: Lucky (for how often he escaped dire situations), Lucy (as a taunting name...though he tolerated it well enough) and Luce (As a shortened version of his name for the younger kids that had some difficulty pronouncing it). 
• Luce was among the younger of the teens, but insisted that he do as much work as some of the older teens of the group- hating the idea of just sitting around and babysitting the smalls. Despite this, he did spend a great deal of time with the younger kids and loved to make them little trinkets or makeshift weapons, he especially loved to show off some of his fighting moves! 
• His mutation began to develop slowly, and he only fully came to realize it while out training one day- unknowingly tearing up his entire arm after throwing a punch. Mutations in the other children began to develop as well, leading to unease and tension within the group. Despite his terrifying power, Luce was surprisingly calm (probably because he's too stupid to be anything else), and helped many of the other kids through their difficult transformations.

Adulthood

• As the faction grew, Luce only seemed to become more boisterous- welcoming newcomers with his usual manly flair (some found it charming, most found it rather tiresome)
• His Loyalty to his faction and to Lars specifically has never wavered, so unless it's for a patrol or an assignment he almost never leaves the territory. Luce tends to spend most of his time surrounded by people, whether it be at a party or simply a small gathering he can always be found where the most people congregate.
• Lucien has proven himself to be an excellent brawler thanks to his mutation and sub-par weapon maker at this point, and still rather enjoys creating odd trinkets alongside his useful weapons for friends within the faction of Lars. While he still has troubling thoughts of his past, he finds comfort and solace within the members of his faction. He feels needed, useful, and above all else? He feels as though he finally has a real family.
