The Secret Sweetheart

Despite his appearance, Maddox is pretty soft. He acts very tough and feels like he is, but he also appreciates cute things and doesn't try to hide it very much. He suffers a bit from a resting mean face, although he really doesn't mean to scare anyone and is actually pretty social. Maddox especially has a weakness for cute people, and may even come on a bit too strong to them. He loves to have fun, and try out things he's never done before. He has a bit of a temper, though it rarely is directed at a person as much as it is frustration with something he's doing like arcade games or claw machines. Still, he's pretty stubborn, and often wants to try things his own way. He can be rough, but he's a bit of a tsundere, and once you break down the first barrier to his embarrassment, it all goes downhill from there. Nonetheless, he is usually the one to tease his friends, especially the ones he finds really cute. 

Maddox was pretty shielded as a kid, with his parents banning him from doing most anything. When he finally hit his adolescence, he rebelled to an extent, changing his appearance and manner of speech, although he never did anything illegal as he does have morals still. He's not too close to them, and as soon as he was able to move out he did. They did enroll him in a refined private school with a great reputation, and he excelled, especially in math and science, though was never able to see himself in some sort of office job or a lab. Instead, he just works at a ramen shop, something which he really enjoys, and the shop has expanded to include baked goods as he proved to be good at that too. Still, whenever it comes to fancy people like his parents or their friends, he often adopts a refined persona as well, hiding who he truly is from them.
