SO BEFORE I GET TO THE BIO I WANT TO EXPLAIN THE TABS
these are all different versions of penumbra that are named differently based on different stuff
and im gonna list them off here on her main page before we get into all the details

• darkness from above (dfa): the one you're looking at right now! her backstory is based off the gameverse
  • me and latios are currently rebooting this one!!! you might see some new content of her soon :D
• shadows from below (sfb/spe): backstory is based off the manga + a BUNCH of old rps/hcs w latios
• rocket: i listened to "are you satisfied?" 450 times once during a summer camp and suddenly i had another penumbra (i need to upload her here though)
• luna: spinoff of dfa on a technicality but it takes place in a different setting (and shes shiny!)
• ultima: she isn't technically canon in any way but shes a fusion of the first two numbras and i love her

* female (she/her)
* umbreon / quilava hybrid [ dark | fire ]
* ability: blaze
* flamethrower | protect | moonlight | shadow ball
* this is a good spot to explain her powers! she doesnt technically have a 4 move limit, she can just do whatever with her fire
* her most common move is to shoot it out of her paws and propel herself around like a jetpack
* she can also slam her paws into the ground and create forcefields around certain areas in a pinch (or slam her paws together and make a forcefield around herself)
* penumbra's base fire color is orange, but it changes depending on what type of move she's using!
* the known colors are orange (fire), purple (dark), pink (fairy--she can use moonlight) and white.
* white flames are achieved when she reaches a certain emotional breaking point, for lack of better wording. white is her most powerful, destructive color and even she herself is afraid of using it.

* penumbra is created in a collaboration between giovanni and lusamine as a weapon against the ultra beasts
* she evolves into umbreon/quilava within the facility during training
* when lillie and cosmog escaped before the events of usum, aether realized that penumbra shared some similar traits with cosmog and injected her with cosmog dna, giving her the white flames and the ability to open ultra wormholes with them in the process
* eventually she managed to escape the aether foundation, but in the process of teleporting to the islands she used most of her strength
