Her mother and father were both criminals, she was raised in their gang and saw no life outside the gang life. That is until her gang was brutally eradicated by the law (including both her parents) she was only spared because she hadn't had been in camp when they came. She had been in the nearby town collecting supplies. Her camp was burnt to the ground and for a while she had a clean slate, but what do you do when all you know how to do is steal? You return to the life of crime. For the most part she wandered on her own, temporarily joining gangs only on occassion and never permanent. She valued her freedom almost as much as she loved her life of crime. It wasn't until the law began to catch on her tail did she realize she had to be more strategic otherwise risk the gallows. So, she chose to take up an alias and settle down for a while. To cool off, after her most recent heist (a stage coach robbery gone wrong). She bought a ranch up on the outskirts of town and chose to live there and basically become a simple rancher for a while.

For the moment she's comfortable simply being a rancher, though she misses her life of crime, and would gladly drop everything to return to it, she's worried she'll get caught again. Especially with the law having nearly caught her after her last robbery. Now she's just laying low while living a near-normal life that she's built for herself through various means.
