Shinji is a kind-hearted man, who loves to flirt around and spread love in front of women. He could never ignore a beauty, when he sees one, which is basically every kind of woman. Most of the time he seems to be rather stupid, and actually he really is a dense person, but only because he trust his guts a lot.

He really can't remember when and why he came to the Deadman Wonderland. And honestly, he didn't even care anymore. He just remembered all those scared faces, when he accidentally used his abilities. Here he at least wasn't the only one and he was surrounded by beautiful women either. For him it was some kind of entertainment, at least until the point where he has to fight in the Carnival Corpse under the moniker Raven, because this man hates to see blood. He always freaks out when he sees it. It took him a kidney and his appendix until he found out he could just use a pair of sunglasses.
Shinji surely always says what comes in his mind, so he had the one or other weird moment already. Especially when he got involved with an Undertaker named Komori. When he saw that one for the first time, his heart skipped a beat and he told the other he was a beautiful woman. Unfortunately Komori was a guy. From that moment on, he liked the one that actually should be his enemy. For him Komori has to be a woman. He never considered himself being gay or anything else. So he always tries to flirt with him, whenever he can.
Furthermore, Shinji is a glutton. Whenever he has the chance to, he smuggles food around. No matter how small it actually is. He even tries to get food from the other Deadmen around.
All in all, Shinji is a really nice guy who makes the best out of the situation he's in.
Since he can't admit liking guys, he more declares Komori to be a "beautiful girl". On the inside he knows Komori is a guy which makes it even more difficult. However, he really likes that boy and would go through hell with him
