Personality

Spiky and assertive, Carlie is a very confrontational lynx who isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. However, she is prone to taking things too far and hurting others because of her passion for taking people head on. She has an intense and high maintenance personality that requires patience and understanding of her ways. Although Carlie often speaks out of line or in an indignant way, she always has good intentions. In terms of how she is when people get to know her, Carlie is an outgoing lynx who often shows her protective side to the people she cares about. She isn't subtle, nor is she vague. Carlie is incredibly flirtatious and suggestive, wanting to get into anyone's pants. She has a burning desire to be loved, but her strong lust cannot be diminished by the guarantee of love. The sexual side of a relationship is equally as important to her as the romantic side, as she believes that intimacy is one of the most important aspects of a healthy relationship. Despite showing herself as a confident, teasing lynx, Carlie does have a sensitive side to herself. She can get offended and hurt easily, taking a lot of comments to heart.

Carlie has the power of amalgamation, so she's able to merge inorganic or organic matter. Morphing inorganic matter together is easy and requires little of her energy, however, when fusing living organiams together, she has to channel her power and it often results in intense migraines. This means she can create hybrids at will. Although this power is seemingly advantaged, Carlie only uses it as a party trick.

Backstory

Growing up within a strict family, Carlie learnt to keep her secrets to herself. Her parents reinforced that healthy communication consisted of averting each others' gaze at the dinner table and nodding a greeting to each other. Her mother stopped tucking her in as soon as she had the ability to speak and she barely saw her parents apart from in the evenings when they agreed to have a family dinner. However, one could hardly call it that. When her parents received her report of failing grades when she was twelve, her father was furious. Carlie's mother turned a blind eye as her father carried out her punishment. As she grew up, her father stopped using physical punishments and started using emotional manipulation and abuse as punishment to her. Her parents had a good relationship, and her mother unconditionally supported her father. However, neither of them even showed fondness towards Carlie. When she started high school, she got into fights frequently, taking out her anger on those who dared to cross her. She didn't have many friends as she didn't know how to make healthy friendships, as her parents never demonstrated the definition of one. At that point, her father stopped punishing her for her actions and started neglecting her. The amount of family dinners decreased until Carlie and her parents were left to stay in their designated rooms. When she finally graduated from high school, she moved out to college, packing up her belongings and leaving for good. At college, she was given a chance by her friends and finally began to develop healthy friendships. Carlie went to parties, got drunk, had sex and did all the things new adults would do. The fact that she was only into girls was irrelevant, as it never mattered in her new lifestyle. For once in her life, she was happy, and her parents demonstrated the perfect example of how not to treat others, which she based her friendships off of.
