Profile

Even was born to a small family of rabbits in the wild, and he lived with them until it was time for him to leave the burrow and start his own life. Life was daunting when he was just a few inches tall, and he was born with a rather nervous temperament. He found it hard to find food for himself, let alone fend off the predators around him. He survived by being quiet and careful, sometimes sneaking food from other rabbits or prey animals when he couldn't find anything more than wild grass. He quickly grew thin and sickly from the lack of nutrition.

It was another day of trying to survive off grass alone when Winnie found him. Even was in a small clearing, in a daze from hunger, and Winnie walked right in while on a walk to clear her mind. He was so out of it that he didn't scramble away from her as was his instinct, instead staying put, staring up at this interesting human. She saw how skinny Even was, having a basic knowledge of animals, and decided that she was going to take him in. It was originally to be just for a short time, but they quickly fell into adoration for each other.

She named him Eve, thinking he was a girl, and slowly introduced him to her other rabbit, Adam. Adam was around the same age as Even, but he was much larger from being in captivity longer. It was Even's size that made Winnie think he was a female rabbit, since he was so tiny in comparison to his companion. It wasn't until she took him to the veterinarian to have him looked at that she was told that he was a male rabbit. Taking it in stride, Winnie renamed him Even.

Things were peaceful for a long time. The three lived happily together, enjoying each others' company. There was a lot to do between the three of them and all of the stuff that Winnie bought for her rabbits, so they were never bored. The only times that felt minutely lackluster were the times when Winnie would leave the house to work, but even then, Adam and Even had each other.

It seemed that soon, all the rabbits would have would be each other.

Disaster struck in the form of an unknown witch showing up at Winnie's house, the girl eagerly inviting them in. They knew each other, Even thought, and they must have been friends. It was clear, when the witch's magic pierced Winnie's body, that this was not the case. With her last spell, Winnie made the decision to turn her rabbits into humans so they could fend for themselves. She didn't want them to waste away in her absence. The spell took a long time, longer than Winnie had. The boys ended up still keeping their ears and patches of fur on their elbows and knees.

Newly transformed, both Even and Adam had no idea what to do.
