bit aloof and distant, but not so much rude as much as a reserved kid. in the rare times that he speaks, it's usually to comment of something that he doesn't like. has a tendency to fail in limiting himself-- often overworks himself, and denies being injured or under stress in order to push himself (or have others let him push himself) further in his skills
a member of the ikane clan, who are particularly well-known for their Akuika (water release) technique that summons water tendrils that are powerful and can grab and strangle as they wish. yuu, however, had no talent for combat ninjutsu, and so he turned to refining his kenjutsu and chakra control, and particularly medical ninjutsu despite his determination for "becoming a respected ninja", he seems to have no other goals.
in his adulthood, he has lost many comrades in battle, and while he maintains a stoic facade to others, turmoil rolls within him like no other-- he regrets each life that has slipped through in his fingers, and without intervention, he will eventually destroy his sense of self while trying to save every life with his medical ninjutsu.
uses a chokuto with kenjutsu as well as medical ninjutsu
