In his everyday life, Altair passes off as just another regular guy- not particularly extraordinary, but not particularly bizarre or considered an outcast either. He’s just normal- boring, even. He’s the one that fades into the background- the classmate you forget about- the person everyone vaguely knows of but no one ever really knows. In that sense, he’s a mystery, but not one that most people are all that eager to solve. Face to face he comes off as shy- a bit awkward- a bit messy, clumsy with his words and manners, but at the core of it all perhaps there’s a hidden treasure. Beneath the glasses and timid disposition is a young man with a kind heart. Although not especially talented or interesting at first glance, there’s a certain charm to his stumbling kindness and consideration. At his best, if one ever comes to discover it, he’s a loyal and thoughtful friend- and one that’s also quite easy to mess with. Altair is passable when it comes to academics, but there are situations where he can be surprisingly dense, much to everyone’s exasperation. You’d think he’d be a bit brighter with all the time he spends “studying”, but well… He tries his best.

When Altair assumes his ‘true’ form, he becomes the Astral Reaper, a version of himself cloaked in starlight that is capable of manipulating galaxy-like matter. This ethereal substance’s only limit is creativity, but a favorite conjuration of his is a spectral scythe- which earned him the name of reaper. While like this he is free of the obligations and expectations of his normal self, and can thus assume the persona of someone he’s always wanted to be- confident, courageous, and charismatic.
