Brutus is the epitome of giant, dumb dog. He's hardly ever in a bad mood, and is overwhelmingly friendly to everyone at the first meeting; he has little to no understanding of personal space, so he is always hugging and shaking hands way too hard. He has a hard time reading serious situations, so he can sometimes make things worse by being oblivious and saying the wrong thing. Β Brutus has the worst sense of humor ever, and finds the dumbest things hilarious. He is always cracking terrible jokes and teasing others (especially poor Atticus), but he is well meaning and rarely ever makes enemies. Β He's just a little dumb. Atticus says he is all brawn, and zero brains. He's not sure if that's a bad thing or not, so he just takes it as a compliment. Β |

Brutus is a "pick things up and put things down" type of meathead - he's always been good natured and a bit of a clown, as well as unusually strong. He doesn't try particularly hard to maintain his physique, but he does take on mostly hard labor jobs in the day since he's built for them. He likes to tease the smaller Longthings about their noodly arms, and makes big shows of how many he can lift at once. He's fiercely protective of everyone and doesn't tolerate malicious behavior, and thankfully his bulky stature allows him to be a good threat to opposing forces. Hates reading, but likes looking at the pictures - academics are too stuffy for him, since he just wants to go out and have a good time. He's a great guy on the whole and hard to hate; despite not having a lot of book smarts, he makes for fun conversation and always draws a crowd at the bars. His special skill is that despite being a total lunk, he has particularly nice handwriting (which Atticus says is a tragic waste). Β |

AtticusΒ | Acquaintance??Friend??Unfortunate Babysitter??Β Β Brutus says that he and Atticus are good friends and that they never argue, but Atticus would tell a very different story. Brutus thinks Atticus is just the best, the funniest guy he has ever met, and he is always barging into his study loudly and rearranging all the books and touching things he shouldn't. All he knows is that Atticus is super smart, but he personally doesn't know anything about that star stuff, he just thinks they look pretty. He likes to steal his glasses and wear them around, pretending he is also a smartypants. |
