Mitchell has had a rough life, but he doesn't let that get to him, and he certainly doesn't talk about it. He's had to help out physically and financially since he was able to do either, with his mom having a deadly illness and his dad unable to support the three of them through the medical bills. When worst comes to worst, and Mitch's dad starts taking out his pain on his son, Mitch's grandmother takes custody of him. Mitch starts out his 7th grade year broken, beaten, with nothing but a bag of clothes and a guitar on his back, just like the country songs sing about. He starts going to church, and after he gets saved, he's wildly motivated to serve God and others, but not without still hurting. He channels his pain and restless spirit into writing songs and playing guitar, inspired by every single genre-- especially 70's-00's hard rock and country western. Through this and strength from Jesus Christ, he's able to be happy and work hard at anything he sets his mind to. One day, you'll see him up on stage, playing his heart out for the world to see.
Trivia
He takes care of everyone before himself.
He will skip class to go sit by the railroad tracks and play guitar.
He loves road trips and adventures-- even more so if they're spontaneous.
He plays guitar in the wroship service at the small church the group attends.

Brass O'Malley
[ Cousin ]
As children, due to familial struggle, Brass and Mitch didn't get to see each other much, and weren't very close. As they got older, Brass visited him and their grandmother more frequently as she battled for custody over him like she did with Mitch. Once she got custody, the two were like brothers, bickering and wrestling and insulting each other (lovingly). Mitch is not even a month older, but sometimes he feels a lot more mature and responsible than his troubled cousin.
Chase McKinnley
[ Best Friend ]
The first friend Mitch ever made when he transferred to the small town school in 7th grade was Chase. They bonded over their love of music and ability to play instruments. They began writing songs and practicing, starting to form a band that still only consists of the two of them. They're pretty confident that they'll have a real band soon, but so far have only played in garages and at talent shows. Chase has always been there for Mitch, going even so far as to ask his father to help Mitch's family out financially in dire circumstances.
Mercedes McKinnley

Mercy has always been the bratty little girl that wouldn't leave Mitch and Chase alone while they practiced songs and played video games, and nothing really has changed-- except maybe she's more bratty, if that's even possible. Her and Mitch do not get along at all, until one night Mitch sees who she really is underneath all the walls she built around herself...
