Duncan is your typical prince. He's responsible, respectful, and always puts his pack above everyone else. He would much rather starve than see any one member of his pack go hungry. He's constantly trying to think and plan ahead but always makes sure he remains calm during unexpected incidents. Duncan is very proud of what his father made out of the Samawi pack, taking it from a legend to reality in such a small amount of time couldn't be easy after all. That said, Duncan defnitely feels the weight of leading despite not being the Pharaoh just yet. He thinks he has to act perfect at all times, never allowing himself to really have fun except in private. When in private, Duncan's idea of fun is to practice practice practice unless Taron is around, in which it's whatever Taron wants to do.

Duncan in his earlier years didn't like the fact that he was into males. He struggled with this but it took a back seat to everything else that was going on in his life at the time. Taron helped him get over this fear and Denahi secured it by telling him about Derketo's abilities and what she might be willing to do for her kin.
