*Ameokk Valencia* (Deification AU: Raincry)

This is an AU where Amek dies and gets deified upon death (something that is uncommon, but can happen to creatures with particularly traumatic and well-known deaths). 

Raincry is a god/deity, and technically not Amek, but was created from Amek, and has some of Amek's memories/mannerisms etc.

• Raincry doesn't consider themself Amek and doesn't like to be referred to as such, it upsets them. They can't be Amek, no matter how much some creatures want them to. Though, Raincry still considers August their brother.
• Raincry is drawn to/searches for/collects yellow objects. They don't know why for a long time. (Yellow is the color of Brutus and August's eyes, they had been searching for both of them unconsciously. They missed them.)
• Raincry is not good at lying, unlike Amek. Raincry is also much more willingly emotionally vulnerable/honest.
• Their godly drive is drowning by storms. They don't like to, but if they go too long without drowning something, they feel bad. Boiling and tight and splintered and so so horrible, they are unable to communicate when they get this way, and that's very scary. Eventually, with the help of August and others, Raincry learns they can satisfy this drive by "drowning" non-living things. Before this, they would repeatedly repress the desire and hide themself away from others until they hit a breaking point, lost control, and went on a rampage.
• From these repeated rampages onto the local creatures / villages of daharus, Raincry was given their name. From their storms, rain would drill through the canopy and the wind would whip through the branches in a shrieking, solemn song.
• Raincry eventually adopts the nickname "Ray"

• Raincry resents Amek a bit, but pities them as well. It wishes it wasn't saddled with what Amek did, even if it's done worse since. But that was different. When Amek made their choices, they didn't have to bow to awful godly desires or risk losing themself if they didn't satisfy them. Amek had been stupid. Amek should have talked with others. 
• Ray can eat but doesn't need to. It really likes lettuce and other leafy greens. They also like lemons/lemon flavoured things, Amek hated the flavour of lemons.
• Ray enjoys journaling. it helps it to remember things correctly. They also like scrapbooking.  (how do they do this while constantly dripping water. with difficulty i guess lol)

• Ray remembers August best, then Brutus. They only have pieces of Amek's memories with Hyun. They let her down in some way, but they can't remember how or why. Raincry is often gifting Hyun things to make up for this, even though they know they can't make up for it. They don't remember September at all. Or rather, September is a faceless, nameless void of curdling negativity in their memories. Ray remembers how September made Amek feel, but doesn't remember September herself. Ray hates September, they don't remember good memories associated with her. Ray knows that Amek didn't hate September though, and this angers and confuses it.

• ray always has lightning antlers, tho they have some control of the size of them (they shrink when fatigued or sad). Ray doesnt have darker markings (or any markings) like amek did.
• ray's chest is Amek's shattered, mutated core. this area is painful and sensitive to touch
• Its clouds are constantly dripping rain. This is worse when its upset.
• Raincry's form is malleable, but not like Amek's controlled shifting of form. More that Raincry is unstable and glitchy, its form will often flicker, mutate, or melt, moreso with intense emotions.
• Being an untrue deity, Raincry cannot take a fragile/humanoid form. Though most creatures don't wear clothes on their primal forms, Ray likes to wear clothes often because it has no fragile form.
• Ray has Amek's voice, but it sounds a bit distorted/static-y. Ray can't mimick sounds/other voices like Amek could.

Brutus+Hyun+August and others upon learning of Raincry's existence. (Ray manifests a couple weeks after Amek's death, but news doesn't spread of their existence until around a year later)

• August wants to meet Raincry immediately, and continues to meet with it even when his grief over Amek taints their interactions and makes them an uncomfortable, painful affair. Raincry isn't Amek, but its the closest August can get. August is hopeful for some way to revert Raincry back into Amek for a time, but eventually gives this up and accepts Ray into his life in a different way.  
• Brutus is unsettled by Raincry's existence and avoids it/refuses to meet with it for months, even after she's been let known that Raincry would like to meet with her. Brutus doesn't see Raincry as any part Amek, just a sick, twisted joke the world decided to play on Amek, even after everything they'd already gone through. Raincry eventually seeks out Brutus, this goes badly. Raincry, when they get brave enough, intermittently bothers Brutus, despite this never being received will. Brutus hates how this behavior reminds her of Amek.
• Hyun wants to meet/get to know Raincry, hopeful and curious and is devastated to learn Raincry remembers very little of her. She builds a friendship with Raincry and fills them in on some of Amek's memories when they ask/when it's appropriate.
