Personality

Despite Daphne's repeated (and very forceful) declarations that she is incredibly smart for her age, she's actually kind of a blockhead. Her sense of self preservation is close to none, even though her observational skills and ability to think on her feet are admittedly excellent. This "smarter than you" attitude hasn't led to her making many friends at school, so she spends a lot of her time absorbed in detective novels and solving any "mystery" she can get her hands on. She has big dreams for her future: by the time she heads off to high school, she will have made a name for herself as a junior detective. ...Handing out handmade business cards to everyone she meets hasn't been going very well so far, but she's not the type to give up!

Backstory

When Daphne heard of the Veil Detective Agency, she knew instantly that she had to work there. What could possibly be cooler than a normal detective agency? A paranormal one, of course. Could she see ghosts? Well, no, but she was sure she would manage anyway. After successfully twisting Cameron's arm, she joined the team on a part-time, volunteer basis. She's having an absolute blast there, even though the other members seem intent on following her around and making sure she doesn't get involved in anything dangerous. But whatever. She's glad to have them around anyway.
