PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

5'6", fit, dark/'tan' skin, sharp, prominent nose, wide eyes, small jaw. She has brown eyes and naturally dark brown/black 'frizzy' hair which she bleaches to a dirty blonde.

PERSONALITY

Tess is kindly but very strong-minded. Probably *too* strong minded. She has a defiant streak in her that has served her well in the past, but has potential to get her into trouble.
She's a very resourceful lady, with an unmatched intellect.

BACK STORY

Tess is a Lucid who endured a relatively impoverished upbringing and used her 'telekinetic' abilities to preform petty crimes such as break-ins and thievery. Thanks to her unique abilities, Tess got away with her crimes scot free.

Around the age of 20, karma bit her in the ass. She found herself as the victim of a crime at the hands of another Lucid who employed the very same tactics she had applied in her lawless activities. Suddenly, the fact that there was no justice system in place for convicting people like herself became a very clear problem to her--and she found herself striving to join law enforcement as a cop soon after.

Since then, she's been working to convict Lucids within the restrictions of the justice system. Saying "an apparition did it" doesn't fly, but she uses her brain to find other ways of convicting her marks.

ONGOING STORY

Tess has recently found herself promoted to 'homicide detective', which she rather enjoys. She earned her promotion after the mayor initiated a new department that was assigned to deal specifically with the more...otherworldly...crimes that occur within the Inner City.

A lot of the crimes she's called on to investigate are carried by Lucids, and as such, are extremely difficult crimes to solve. She's weaving her way about the judicial system, looking for ways to get rid of what is nothing short of illegal gang activity within the Inner City. However, the system she works for consistently lets her down. More and more, she finds herself working beneath the law to convict her suspects.

EXTRA

Tessa's Avatar is a large centipede with legs that are constantly changing shape to suit the occasion. More often than not, the legs take on the form of keys, which are used to pick locks. Thus Tess gave him the fitting name, Locksmith.
