Enid

An Abyssal Mer in charge of a remote watch point. She is a veteran of three ship raids. Abyssal communities are typically harsh and stubborn, and Enid is no exception. She's caring, but doesn't spare feeling when giving advice. 

Eryl is probably her only "outsider" friend, and that's because he's basically an Abyss native at this point. Io is a point of confusion for Enid, but Enid has come to swear her eternal protection over this soft-spoken gal. 

Has an odd friendship with Eire after meeting him on a diplomatic visit. They write each other often.
