Backstory: Luna was created as a replacement to Blue Moon Diamond’s originally-meant-to-be Night Blue Pearl (known as “Umbra,”) since the latter came out Off-Colored (Umbra’s a chubby and clumsy pearl, she was meant to be shattered but she managed to escape and survive). Luna is a snarky, jaded and somewhat cynical Pearl with a deadpan sense of humor. She always feels exhausted, mostly due to a combination of overexposure to Moon’s calming aura, as well as being overworked by her (Moon often has Luna do certain tasks for her in her place whenever she’s in her room sleeping). As a result, she secretly holds a deep hatred for her Diamond (and the other Diamonds as well), but she remains loyal to her at least for now, mainly out of fear of being rejuvenated, shattered or even becoming a victim of Moon’s coma-and-nightmares punishment. At the moment, she does not know of Umbra's existence.

(Note: “Luna” is simply a nickname I gave her to differentiate her from Umbra, her Pearl sister. Moon doesn’t have a nickname for her, she just simply refers to her as her Pearl (though maybe eventually at some point she actually does refer to herself as Luna... maybe))
