*Vampyre: A variation on vampires, where they are organic beings that are considered primal due to their 'death-like' existence. Vampyres are numb to a great deal of pain which allows them to push themselves to superhuman feats when under pressure, but also endure significant damage to their person without flinching. They live absurdly long and never seem to change, retaining smooth hide that is clammy and sensationless. They all possess narcissistic natures to degrees approximate from psychotic. They are parasitic predators; able to supplement their diet with blood, energy from sentient beings (which is experienced as unquenchable exhaustion), as well as to hunt and consume primarily meat. As such they either conform to society or be destroyed by it; an idea posed by many that explore modern vampire fiction. They themselves have no concept of society and seemingly never had. Advancements in their significant sciences are usually the result of temporary partnerships to destroy someone else. Vampyre frequently suffers popping joints and tearing muscles from accidentally over-exerting themselves during stressful moments. Those that conform and hide in society tend to pursue every quiet lives to avoid this annoying inconvenience.
