ꕥ   A young woman whose chronic illness has left her bedridden the majority of her life. Her parent's unwittingly accepted a proposal from a vampire for a large sum of money. Her family has an old name but has lost their wealth a few generations back. Though they live in a grand house that has been in the family for years, it is in great disrepair and is minimally staffed. Sylvie's extensive and expensive medical bills have further put burden upon her parents, being unable to marry off because of her health and due to the fact that bearing any children would likely kill her. By her appearance it's clear that she would be beautiful if she were in good health but her deathly palor and extreme weight loss has made her frightening, as if she were a walking corpse. She spends the majority of her time in her bedroom gazing through her window or reading as long as she is able to stay awake without pain.

Now, being taken to meet her mysterious fiance Sylvie is in a panic, sure that once they catch sight of her she'll be scorned and turned away, all of the wealth her marriage had awarded her parents stripped from them - leaving them in ruin. Sylvie does her best to fight through the pain and appear normal to the young lord. She uses large dresses to hide her figure and makeup to add color to her face. But she doubts she can hold up the charade for very long.
