The Storm
A girl born with wings struggling to find her place in the world; she flees her home country with plans to start a new life as a normal human girl who can't fly or do any sort of magical things. This plan, of course, does not work as she had hoped.

Stoic
Tempest's moods can effect the weather - when she is sad it storms and floods, when she is stressed it gets destructively windy, when she is angry it gets unbearably hot and humid. Because of this she tries to never become to attached or affected by anything around her. Her need to always keep calm and level headed can make her look uncaring at times.
Reserved
Will not share where she came from, who her family was, or really tell any stories from her past as she does not want to give away too many clues to who she once was. This prevents her from forming close bonds with new people, and in some cases makes it look as if she has something to hide.
Passive
Remains passive in most situations as she does not care one way or the other. She does not voice her thoughts unless prompted, never asks for anything, is usually willing to go along with what others want, and does not speak back when people are rude to her.
Nervous
Always worried she is making the wrong choices and regularly second guesses herself. She has a difficult time taking risks because she lacks confidence. She keeps her feelings to herself and copes with her anxieties by reading, using it as a way to keep her mind distracted.
Sensitive
When she feels people are unhappy with her or do not want her around, she makes herself scarce. Tempest is not bothered by what people say to her, but if their actions offend her she takes it heart and does not let it go easily. She never argues or seeks revenge; she simply distances herself.
Gentle
Does not go out of her way to be nice to others, but she does put effort towards making sure she is never unkind. She chooses her words carefully and avoids outright telling people they are wrong or acting foolish. If she has nothing nice to say, then she says nothing at all.
Honest
Never lies; not by choice, she is simply a comically bad liar. Having lived with this trait her entire life, she has gotten good with avoiding undesirable truths via changing the topic or exiting the conversation.
Crafty
Sews clothing, does cross stitch, makes candles, weaves flower crowns, assembles boquets, paints pictures, bakes little treats, brews tea - an assortment of random skills so that she can create things for others. If someone does something nice for her, she will thank them with a little something. Since she cannot show much emotion with her expression or her voice, she uses handmade gifts as a way to show she cares.
Snowball
- • Tempest has a pet dog and he's the only thing she loves in this big dumb world.
- • She named him "Snowball" because he's all white and she is not good at choosing names.
- • During the day while Tempest works, Snowball will patrol the halls and bark at anyone approaching.
- • Tempest tells people Snowball knows a lot more then he lets on, and people think she's wacky because Snowball is dog but she's right. This dog knows things.
- • Snowball is a perfectly behaved pup for his mother, always following her around and fetching her things she wants.
- • Snowball is a demon dog for pretty much everyone else. Pees on your floor, chews up your shoes, steals your things and buries them in the yard.
- • Tempest will hear nothing of Snowball's crimes. She just says "don't be disrespectful" and walks away with him, his little dog nose in the air.
- • Tempest likes to put bows on Snowball's head and he hates it, but he endures it for mother. He always buries them at the end of the night and she can't figure out where all his bows are going.
Magic
Wings
Tempest has a pair of wings which allow her to fly. At one point she was able to materialize her wings at will, but after a fall she seems to have lost tihs ability. Now they appear at random, usually when she uses a lot of magic or is in danger.
Lightning
Tempest can create and direct lightning bolts with her hands. She has a magical bow that she is able to fire arrows that she creates out of small lightning bolts.
Wind
Tempest is able to create large gusts of wind, though she has limited control over what it does; it blows outward from where she is standing and knocks around anything in its way. If she's really worked up she can create a small cyclone around her to do more damage.
Storms
The ability she takes her name from, Tempest is able to create heavy thunderstorms. Summoning a storm can increase the power of her other abilities, however it takes some time for the storm to reach full force.
Screech
Tempest's main defense mechanism is a deafening screech that leaves opponents stunned for a few moments. This also causes a slight bit a wind as well. She is cautious to use this ability as it can damage the hearing of anyone who may be around her.
Healing
Tempest comes from a magical race that is known for their healing abilities, but Tempest's magic came out a little "wrong" - she lacks the ability to heal others, however her body is naturally able to heal itself. Things like small cuts and bruises will heal within a day for her and she is immune to poisons. Her healing abilities also allow her to go without eating or sleeping for longer periods of time.
Self Preservation
When Tempest is badly injured or in a near death situation she enters a self preservation state. This will cause her to rapidly heal however she looses control of her senses and becomes very destructive as her lightning and wind magic fire at random, taking out anything that is in her way. This state is useful for defeating big bad monsters but at the risk of also hurting her allies and/or extensive property damage.
Trivia
- • Tempest was originally called "Temperance" after her late mother; when she leaves her home she changes it as a way to distance herself from her old life, and because she thinks it is more fitting.
- • Tempest tries to keep herself isolated and passes most of her time by reading books. She remembers everything she reads and has a tendency to focus on pointless trivia instead of useful information. She also reads a lot of trashy romance novels but thinks love is fake.
- • Though she does her best to avoid making storms, Tempest enjoys windy weather and heavy rainstorms. Her favorite season is spring because it does not get too hot and there is a lot of rain.
