Profile
- Mia's favorite color is mint green.
- Mia cannot speak in her Pegasus form.
- Mia loves sugar cubes! She always has some wrapped up in a light blue handkerchief in her pocket.
- Mia's Hero costume is made by the same company that made Midoriya and Todoroki's.
- Mia has a black Maine Coon cat called Aphrodite, who also moves into the dorms.
- Like in myths, Mia can speed up the regrowth rate of her lost/shredded feathers by drinking high quality straight whiskey. The downside, is that she gets drunk very quickly.
-
Insulation
If wrapped completely around her body, Mia can insulate herself and others from most elemental/chemical attacks, specifically electricity, wind, ice and snow.
-
Supersonic Boom
Mia can only perform this ear blasting move in her pegasus form, exceeding the speed of sound at 768 mph (Mach 1) and breaking the sound barrier.
-
Peregrine Dive
After making her body (human or pegasus) as aerodynamic as possible and tucking in her wings, Mia can drive from extremely high altitudes, increasing the speed in which she can fly. However her human body cannot withstand high speeds as well as her pegasus form can, only able to reach - but not exceed - 200 mph. For this, she needs to be in her hero costume for protection against the harsh winds.
Wing Shoulder Pads - The shoulder pads on Mia's Hero costume are specially reinforce and shaped to help deal with extreme wind currents and to help the air to pass over her body more aerodynamically.
Wind/Weather Insulated Bodysuit - The skin-tight bodysuit Mia's costume is mostly made up of is manufactured from unique fibers that are not only flexible, but well insulated from cold/heat/high wind pressures.
Feather Belts - The belts around her waist, hips and thighs are strong, and are actually made from Mia's feathers. This gives them an iridescence just like her wings.
High Stress Boots - Mia's boots are made from some of the strongest steel available. Her boots are heavily reinforced like Midoriya's. Though in Mia's case, it helps reduce the stress from heavy landings.
Wedge Hummingbird Tail - On her bodysuit is a specially designed wedged tail also made from her own feathers. This tail aids in stabilizing her flight in human form and allows for sharper turns, making her more agile.

Mia is a Japanese-Australian who resided on the outskirts of an opal mining town in South Australia. She is the youngest of three siblings raised by her widowed mother, Yindi, and her grandparents, Wayilahr and Miro.
When she was 6 she discovered that she had a different father than her two older brothers, Bunjil and Warragul, and asked her family about it. A villain from Japan, Masaru Nikushimi, who was a notorious international thief going by the name of ‘Chimera’, had come into the town to pillage all the precious high priced opal he could. He murdered any who stood in his way, including Bunjil and Warragul’s father, and had his way with their mother before disappearing. Nine months later, Mia was born, and shortly after a DNA test confirmed that she was the villain’s child.
Mia discovered her quirk’s morphed form that day, and ran away from home on the unstable foal legs of her Pegasus form. But her aboriginal grandfather, Wayilahr, quickly found her when flying about in his black cockatoo quirk form. He told her that she ‘is who she is, and only she decides who to become’, and that her family doesn’t love her any less because of who her biological father was. When she returned home, it was the last it was discussed, and she continued her life as normal, learning more and more about her quirk as she grew.
When she turned 15, she began showing a villainous side against her own will, one that was uncontrollable. Her school quickly expelled her, fearful that the dark side of her quirk could get someone killed. Every school she went to repeated the same thing. She became withdrawn from socializing with others and took to being home-schooled instead. Around that time, Endeavor showed up. He had been an acquaintance of the Black/Rose family for a few years, and was interested in the quirk form of Bunjil; a mighty Wedge-Tail Eagle. He was looking to convince Bunjil to join his Hero agency. That was until he witnessed Mia’s powerful quirk in both light and dark forms when she was training with her grandfather in the desert. Enji put forth an aggressively persuasive proposal of sponsoring her as an exchange student at U.A, leaving her family with little room to say no. They weren’t poor by no means, but getting into such a school would be hard at that stage without a recommendation from a high standing Pro Hero.
But Enji was cunning, and made the deal that he would do this for the family, under the condition that an arranged marriage be made between Mia and one of his sons; Natsuo or Shoto. The Black/Rose family wanted to refuse, but they could see how much Mia was struggling to keep the dark side of herself in control, and the reluctantly agreed. This part of the deal was kept a complete secret from Mia so that she could concentrate on herself. They didn't realize that she had overheard the entire conversation. She wanted to protest it, but thoughts of her villain form hurting innocent people came to her mind. She was willing to forsake any sort of love life she could've had in the future, in favor of keeping this potentially dangerous quirk firmly in her control.
Mia arrived in Japan with Bunjil as her legal guardian and began as a student at U.A, while he became a sidekick to Hawks.
Mia and Shoto don’t get along at all to start with due to the arranged marriage organised for them by Endeavor. Shoto thinks Mia is after something like prestige or money, and Mia thinks Shoto is a self-centered teen who doesn’t understand that she actually sacrificed a lot. Including her marriage rights, just to attend U.A so she can learn to control her dangerous and out of control quirk for the safety of those around her.
But when a few misunderstandings get cleared up, they grow closer. Mia helps Shoto with his social awkwardness, and he helps her with encouragement when she becomes uncertain about her quirk, having just recently come to terms with his own.
They begin crushing on each other pretty soon after that, and it’s not until the League of Villains attacks the camp the class goes on and Mia gets severely hurt by Dabi’s flames, do they actually realize it.
They confess to each other just before moving into the dorms~
Kirishima was one of the first people that Mia really connected with on her first day at U.A. Eijiro's very honest and kind-hearted nature, as well as his straightforward way of thinking are personality traits Mia deeply admires. She has a lot of respect for how hard he tries for others, and always makes sure that he is okay after doing something rather risky. Eijiro and Mia are always encouraging each other, as they both share insecurities about their quirks. Eijiro develops much deeper feelings for Mia, but never acts on them because he knows of Mia's developing feelings towards Todoroki.
In the AU, Eijiro opens up to Mia about his feelings to her after a huge fight between them. Since it was their frist fight, things are awkward between them for a few days until Eijiro convinces himself to 'man-up' and talk to Mia. During their reconciliation talk, Mia also admits to have fallen in love with him. It isn't long until the two begin dating.
Initially, Mia is terrified of Katsuki's crude and short-tempered nature. He was certainly not someone she imagined she'd become very good friends with, not that he'd openly acknowledge it. Katsuki does genuinely care about Mia just as he cares about Kirishima, even in his own weird way. Katsuki has a tendency to flick Mia's forehead and has dubbed Mia as 'Horse-face'.
Mia finds her own fighting spirit thanks to Katsuki during a mock battle match-up in a hero class.
Rather than beating her into the ground like he would have with anyone else, Katsuki pushed and encouraged Mia to not hold back, and to never hesitate because that's what would make her loose every single time. Of course, this was all said while she did her best to avoid his explosions, but Mia could see that he was helping her in his own way.
Once Mia has warmed up to her classmates, she finds she has a lot in common with Mine. Mia really opens up to Mine about all her insecurities, and Mine accepts them just as openly as Mia accepted her own. They develop a seriously unshakeable bond, and work amazingly well together with their mythical creature quirks. Mine is also the first person Mia talks to about her biological father, who is a villain.
Mia played a small role in getting Mine and Katsuki to realise the feelings they harboured for one another, only giving them a tiny push in the right direction and letting them progress on their own while happily cheering from the sidelines
In the AU, Mine also helps Mia when she is dealing with her crush on Eijiro. Mia tries her best to follow Mine's advice, but ended up being far too shy and timid to impliment Mine's great strategies.
Mia sees Kishiko as her senpai, and they often chat and hang out together. They also often go on doubles dates with Mirio and Shoto once he and Mia start dating (excluding AU).
Mia sees Kishiko as a great mentor and someone she really looks up to.
Hiroki takes an odd interest in Mia when she first comes to U.A. He finds her mythical quirk rather intriguing and is very keen to see her develop it. He often gives her fleeting tips of advice about school work and her quirk, but he starts to become more invested when Mia starts developing a crush on Shoto Todoroki.
Of course, he realizes it before she does, but he keeps it to himself. He offers her guidance when she eventually begins asking him about love and relationships.
In the AU, he still offers Mia advice, but not as much since her relationship with Eijiro is far less complex.
Mia didn't know what to think of Oto initially. She thought that maybe they just didn't like her, but Mia remained respectful of her upperclassmen.
As time went on, they eventually began to blend together and it got to the point where Oto was dressing Mia in pastel goth attire, make-up and jewellery which leaned towards the goth aesthetic. Mia wasn't really into clothes and make-up, but Oto's style were something Mia could definitely enjoy.
Mia also started to affectionately use Hiroki's nickname for Oto - Oto Babe - and it's just stuck ever since.
