Badgerfoot was raised with the biggest emphasis on his strength and loyality to the Clan. While as a kit he tried to prove himself as the strongest in all of the playfights, during his apprenticeship this translated to borderline cruel behaviour, bashing other apprentices, stealing away their pray and using his claws during training, when no one as looking.

He always justified his behaviour with only trying to make the most of the situation, putting his Clan and the Clan's strength first. He started his relationship with Flintwater for this reason aswell. He was one of the few clan-members who he didn't think less of. Badgerfoot started developing real feelings at some point though. They were close for quite some time and seemed to be a real match, even had their first litter.

For various reasons, some of them being the way they intended to raise their kits and how their future would look, Badgerfoot developed disgust for his partner and started treating him badly. The whole thing turned over and Badgerfoot decided to pursue other goals, insulting and discrediting Flintwater in front of the whole Clan in the process.
