Socially helpless, lost and a bit of a dumbass. Without Kadachi who knows where they'd be. With being unable to interact with people at all they rely on Kadachi for everything. Clinging to his arm, they follow him everywhere. Late night walks to the convenience store are about all they can handle alone.

Background
Born in Hokkaido, Vert had been living with their family for 19 years. Even though they felt safe at home they were never comfortable. Always had a constant feeling of being trapped and looked down upon. Always feeling alienated, never able to be honest and let their feelings out to their family, they would take walks at night to the convenience store to clear their head.

They first met Kadachi in a manga store in the middle of the night and Vert for once felt at ease. They didn't want to ever loose that comfortable, safe feeling and managed to talk with Kadachi for hours hoping that he'd never leave. They made arrangements to meet up again the next day and their bond quickly grew stronger. Vert had never felt so relaxed and happy before. They really looked up to his optimism and his ability to make everyone around him smile. They could finally be themselves. After six months of becoming close friends, Vert moved into Kadachi and Sagiri's apartment taking the spare room on the very bottom floor. On nights were Sagiri works nightshifts, Kadachi lets Vert share a bed with him since it makes them very happy. They share a somewhat friends with benefits friendship that they hide from everyone else. Vert is always the one who initiates it and even though he feels a little guilty, Kadachi can never say no because they care for them too much and wants to do anything to make them happy.

Vert has a hard time interacting with all of Kadachi's friends and easily gets overwhelmed but they try their best, for Kadachi.

Personality

Vert is extremely lazy. Only leaves their apartment only when absolutely necessary. Probably once every two weeks or so. Though this is partially due to their anxiety. Paranoid of what everyone thinks about them, they keeps themselves safe sitting behind their computer screens most hours of the day. Due to never being able to practice being social with others, they are very inept in doing so. In situations where they have to communicate with others, they dont know the politest way of speaking and may come off as very uninterested and a little rude. Never being able to make eye contact and always trying to find the quickest way of ending the conversation. On top of that, they are definitely not the smartest. Quite airheaded in fact. They're not very efficient in making decisions and always blindly follow they person the trust. For example when going grocery shopping with Kadachi, they stick to him like his shadow. Never making suggestions, just solely going along with anything Kadachi chooses. Their home life entirely consists on anime. Its on their mind 24/7. Watching it, reading it, their music tastes - everything they like revolves around it and they couldn't be happier. They have gotten to experience so many things they couldn't in their real life through these stories, it means the world to them. Other than anime, Vert has a very strong love for all things fish. They have a deep attachment to them and they have no idea why. They also have a weird obsession with street signs. - they're just cool.

Relationships with the others

Kadachi- Vert feels the closest to Kadachi. Almost never leaves his side except when he has to work. Very dependent on him and loves him very much. Follows him around like a lost puppy. Only feels safe when with him or when their at home on their own.

Zeref- Vert is a little intimidated by Zeref. Since he’s the silent type just like they are, Vert has the hardest time interacting with him out of everyone. They both would just sit in silence together if in the same room alone. While Zeref wouldn’t give it a second thought and would be comfortable sitting in silence, Vert would be incredibly anxious and awkward, apologising to Zeref after. They think Zeref is really cool and always gets really bashful when making eye contact with him. They really admire how independent he is and is trying super hard to interact with him more.

Mavis- Vert gets easily overwhelmed when with Mavis. Mavis is super high energy, always excited and wanting to take Vert places. Vert already has a hard time as it is speaking. But with Mavis, by the time they have mustered up enough courage to respond with a single word, the conversation has already switched topics. Mavis not even realising, just ends up talking to themselves the majority of the time. Though Vert really does enjoy Mavis’s company. They always have a lot of fun with each other. Vert has gotten to try so many new things being with them.
