Aram wants to set the world on fire. It's not like there's anyone worth saving. He will do anything for that purpose, lie, bide his time, take any abuse, if he gets that satisfaction of destruction and death afterward. Everyone else should hurt the way he has. Aram is so, so tired of being pushed down.
Origin
Aram was taken to the circle from an already unsteady household. The negative attention he got at home was replaced with neglect and snide comments in the tower and he learned to lick his wounds alone. He had one ally, a kid his age named Jowan. One day Jowan asked him to help with something, so he did, complaining all the way, only to get confronted at the end with the cold truth. Jowan had been lying to him, using him for his own pointless means. Aram was filled with a sense of betrayal, anger, fear, and despair, and decided he didn't need anything anymore.
DAO
But the Grey Wardens needed him and he still didn't have enough power to do more than seeth so he was brought to the battlefield.
She shares some of Aram's views on mages and humans, and he agrees with her complaints about men. He's seen it in Jowan. She's almost...not intolerable?
