Zoe grew up in the center of Kanamaca, one of the busier cities in the country of Etharia. Her parents were successful stockbrokers, their funds allowing them to spoil their only daughter to their heart's content, and make sure the rest of their family was well taken care of. Zoe relished in the glory of being the only girl in the household, coddled and praised in every way much to her brother's annoyance. Even despite not being the youngest of them, Zoe still reaped the benefits of being her parents' "little girl", taking every advantage she possibly could of it. In school, she was one of the popular girls, her social life booming both inside and outside of school. Sadly, Zoe found herself in the wrong crowds with the wrong people, and regrettably became a bit of a mean girl, something she regrets and tries to make up for at present. Her grades were sub-par, education not being her strong suit, but she graduated anyway, and despite not having many honors to show for it, she still was celebrated by her parents for her work.

After graduation, she decided she wanted to move out on her own, but wanted to do so by herself and without her parents' financial support. Her parents were upset at the prospect, but respected her decision, helping her get a job at a local coffee shop, where she found a love for idle chatter and the typical barista cheer. Within a few years time, she was able to afford her own apartment close to home, trekking to work each day and trying to lower her carbon footprint through biking. Before being hired, the cafe was quite slow, but thanks to Zoe's popularity at school, a lot of the younger crowd have now claimed it as their stomping ground, as well as a few of the older regulars that frequented prior to Zoe's employment. Zoe still currently works as a barista, but now also manages, doing her best to make her customers happy as they get their morning and afternoon coffee fix.
