Varna

Varna has been in love with Jen since childhood, but now that he's King she doesn't really see him often and it kind of bums her out. She wanders around her family's castle like a sad ghost, reading books and avoiding her crazy aunt. Sometimes she hangs out with her cousins and since they're older, wiser, and kind of cool, she enjoys their company, but even they left eventually. And since they left, aunt Empusa has become worse than ever before. The Ambassador arranged for Varna to live in Vintern recently, but things are strange there too. Jen is cold and detached, the entire kingdom seems on-edge, and Princess Aisthya is nowhere to be found. Varna just wants to be normal but the world is too bizarre and she can't really keep up. It's made her a bitter and isolated person who prefers the company of stories rather than people. She started writing a tragic play about doomed lovers, and it only worsened her negative outlook on life. Help this child.
