The dread knight is a mysterious character indeed.

He mostly keeps to himself. He won't let anyone close. He'll keep up a conversation if you talk to him, but he rarely seems to put his heart into these talks. He'll smile and be polite, sure. But he doesn't seem engaged.

He seems to think of himself as a danger to those around him. Like he has done something terrible, and is trying to protect everyone else from this... Like he has hurt someone before, and tries to avoid doing it again... One could speculate if he has actually done either of those things, or if he was simply made to believe that he did...

He'll of course just chuckle and shake his head, should you try to bring any of this up with him.

"Don't worry about that kind of stuff too much."

"You're giving me more attention than I'm worth. Make sure to focus on yourself."

He has a soft spot for children, and is very protective of them, as well as just other people he deems to be in need of protection. He will defend you with his life, if you are in danger. Partly because he cares. Partly because... Well...

"I'm quite worthless myself."
