Ashalata

Ashalata is the eldest child of her father Sahak's herd, she is responsible and caring and everything a leader should be but her father is stuck in the old ways and refuses to give the role of leader of the herd to anyone but a son. So while she knows it is useless she does everything she can to be perfect.

She is the healer of the herd like her grandmother before her, she took the role to prove to her father how responsible she can be but instead found it was a decent way to help her herd. While she is still trying for the spot of leader she also works hard as a healer and is already well recognized by other herds in the area.

She resents her brother for not only stealing away her chance to be the leader but also treating it like it’s meaningless. She can’t stand the sight of him and refuses to help him if he gets injured. She has a fairly neutral relationship with her mother, since she is hardly around too busy interacting with the other members of the herd to care for her children.
