Nicolaas is native to an underwater village off a cold north coast somewhere, where he grew up and spent most of his life. His family was stable, but juggling 4 siblings proved to be a tough job for someone like him, especially considering he’s not good in social situations. He’d sneak out a lot to swim around and do his own thing. 

Schooling proved easy enough for him, yet he didn’t make any friends. It was around the time he was finished with his required schooling- 16 years old, that he discovered alcohol, and how much it helped him open up to others. He ditched his family when he was 19, and worked at a clothing shop as an assistant. Although, this didn’t pay much. 

In his off-hours, he’d hang round in bars, talking up alpha males and trancing them into love, and into giving him money for what he’d do. Everything was going smoothly for him, he was even a little popular- until he got in a HUGE fight with a powerful Alpha, and was essentially scared to the point where he used his magic to get out of the kingdom. 

He just… didn’t expect to teleport into a wishing well, and then the kitchen sink in the castle…. ah well, it worked out with him. He tried to start up what he used to do at this new town, but it turned out to be less promising for him. He met Cypress, and feuded with him a lot, about his habits of sleeping around. They’re on better terms now, though, and he’s calming down. Hopefully they’ll be moving in somewhere soon, away from the ruins in the forest where they currently are. Real hopefully, because, new news to him, Nico’s got a kid inside him. Which, yes, happens to be possible for some kinds of males in his species. Uh oh.
