Lumiale

An once-renowned powerful magician under the employ of royalty, Lumiale now owns a small antique/magic shop in the village. He's always been a free spirit and takes terrible care of his shop, often forgetting to even open it. Lumiale is someone who is full of contradictions. He's very easy-going and gets along well with others, but he uncaring to those he doesn't have a personal connection to. He acts very confident in himself as a cover for the fact that he's a coward when it comes to emotions and fears being hated by those he loves. He pretends to be independent, but it's actually a guise so his loved ones miss him and shower him with more affection. He is very much someone who cares greatly about the opinions of specific people and his actions are heavily influenced by them. Even though he's a complete slob, the village women are crazy for him.

Lumiale is a member of a noble family in the kingdom who has served in the military for many generations. As his branch of the family were further from the main family and more lax as a result, he grew up with a fairly carefree life. Out of obligation, he joined the military when he came of age with his cousins. He fought in the army as a mage. Unlike his cousins, he did not adjust well to life as a royal knight and oftened felt burdened by his status and tortured by the constant fighting. Deciding that he was done with living that terrible life, he discharged from the army, much to his cousins' dismay. He ran away from his family and eventually settled in a small village, setting up an antiques and magic shop. Though he often forgot to open the shop to go exploring instead, he earned enough to support himself. One day on one of his travels, he saved up an injured young man. The young man, Lyris, wanted to repay him for his help and became the manager of Lumiale's shop.
