Cotton

As a child, Cotton loved to watch anime- especially ones with magical girls. She loved to dress up as one, pretending to save the world. Every day, she would wish to become a magical girl, just like her favorite characters. Even as she grew older, her love for these fantastical shows stayed with her. Her friends grew out of their obsession, however, and began to ignore Cotton for "more mature people". Cotton felt a lot of despair, which only grew with every passing day. Cotton was losing her hope. Her smile faded, and her eyes no longer had the same childish glow. Every day was painful. She desperately hoped for some way to get better. Her life changed when she bumped into a red-haired girl on her way back from shopping, dropping all of her things on the ground. The girl had apologized and helped her pick up her items, and since she felt so bad, she decided to give Cotton her pendant. Cotton hesitantly accepted- wasn't it too much to give a pendant to a person just because they bumped into you? She had shrugged it off and went on her way home.
That night, Cotton was getting ready to watch her favorite TV show, but suddenly, the same red-haired girl jumped through her window in some cosplay and a mask. The girl introduced herself as Xiu Lin and explained that she had seen Cotton's magical girl merchandise. She wanted Cotton to join her team of superheroes.
Cotton couldn't be happier.

Cotton's powers are much like her name. She is capable of creating large clouds of soft material as well as a cotton-candy like substance that can trap enemies. She deals damage by manipulating the material to strangle, suffocate, or hit her enemy.
